IV THERAPY FAQ
What are the benefits of IV therapy?
- Most efficient method of delivering vital nutrients to the body
- Bypasses the digestive tract for 100% absorption
- Nutrients are immediately available for cellular use
- Safely delivers higher doses of vitamins that would not be tolerated if taken orally
- Boosts immune system to help prevent or treat illness
- Increases energy
- Slows the effects of aging
How long does a treatment take?
All infusions take between 1 – 2 hours, depending on the Drip and booster add-ons.
How soon will I feel the benefits?
IV hydration goes straight to your blood stream bypassing the GI tract and absorbing 100% of the nutrients. Typically you will feel the effects within an hour of treatment. Some of our drip cocktails are designed for long term benefits and may not give you the immediate boost.
Is IV therapy safe?
All of our vitamins are FDA approved and go through high levels of testing. All IVs are administered by a registered nurse and performed under a medical director. Before a client receives IV therapy, their health history is evaluated.
What should I do to prepare?
It is always wise to drink plenty of water. The more water you drink, the plumper your veins become and the easier it’ll be to locate your veins to administer and increase hydration and venous volume leading to the best results. Be sure to bring a good book or headphones with you as you sit and relax and enjoy the treatment!
Is it better than taking vitamins orally?
Vitamins and nutrients taken orally are only partially absorbed and some are destroyed in the GI tract. By getting vitamins through the IV process, it is a direct route to the bloodstream and your cells for maximum absorption. We recommend continuing your daily vitamin regimen.
Can I receive IV therapy while taking other medications?
There are a few medications that can interact with IV therapy. Our RN on staff will conduct a thorough client history to ensure the drip of your choice is not only safe for you but effective, and not interacting with your current medication regimen.
How often should I get an IV?
The frequency of IV therapy is determined on a patient-by-patient basis. We take a customized approach to suit your individual needs. For preventative health and wellness, we recommend one IV drips per month to help balance out any vitamin deficiencies.
Are there any side effects?
IV Drips are generally low risk in side effects. These could include irritation, inflammation, itching, redness or bruising of the puncture site. Systemic reactions such as allergies are very rare despite its possibility of occurrence.
Your provider will consult you prior to any start of administration and will discuss your condition and desires to achieve your results.
